Dussehra Special Trains between Hyderabad and Kakinada announced. Check for full Details

In order to clear extra rush of Passengers in view of festival season, SCR will run special trains between Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam via samalkot and Hydearabad – Kakinada Port as detailed below:

Hyderabad – Kakinada Port – Hyderabad special Trains (04 services):

Train No. 07001 Hyderabad – Kakinada Port special train will depart Hyderabad at 18:50 hrs on 27thand 29th September, 2017, arrive/depart Secunderabad at 19:15/19:20 hrs and arrive Kakinada Port at 05:35 hrs o­n the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07002 Kakinada Port – Hyderabad special train will depart Kakinada Port at 17:55 hrs o­n 28th September and 02nd October, 2017 , arrive/depart Secunderabad at 04:20/04:30 hrs o­n the next day and arrive Hyderabad at 05:10 hrs.

Enroute, these special trains will also stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and Kakinada Town stations in both the directions.

These special trains will haveAC II Tier, AC III Tier andSleeper Class Coaches.

3.Hyderabad – Kakinada Port – Hyderabad special Train (01 service):

Train No. 07001 Hyderabad – Kakinada Port special train will depart Hyderabad at 23:40 hrson 01st October, 2017, arrive/depart Secunderabad at 00:15/00:20 hrs o­n the next dayand arrive Kakinada Port at 11:45 hrs.

Enroute, thisspecial trainwill also stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and Kakinada Town stations in both the directions.

This special train will haveAC II Tier, AC III Tier andSleeper Class Coaches.

Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam-Hyderabad special Trains (04 services): via Samalkot

Train No. 07148 Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam special train will depart Hyderabad at 18:50 hrs o­n 28thand 30thSeptember, 2017, arrive/depart Secunderabad at 19:15/19:20 hrs and arrive Visakhapatnam at 08:00 hrs o­n the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 07147 Visakhapatnam-Hyderabadspecial train will depart Visakhapatnam at 19:20 hrs o­n 29th September and 01st October, 2017, arrive/depart Secunderabad at 08:15/08:20 hrs o­n the next dayand arrive Hyderabad at 08:50 hrs.

Enroute, these special trains will also stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur,Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Tuni,Anakapalle and Duvvadastations in both the directions.

Kakinada City (Telugu: కాకినాడ)  is a city and a municipal corporation in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located 465 kilometres (289 mi) east of the state capital, Hyderabad. It is also the headquarters of East Godavari district. It is nicknamed "Fertilizer City" (owing to the large concentration of fertiliser plants) , "Pensioner's Paradise" and "Second Madras". The city had an urban population of 542,936 in 2011,  making it the fourth largest city by area and the fifth largest city by population in Andhra Pradesh. Its population consists of 267,573 males and 275,363 females. The sex ratio of Kakinada city is 1046 per 1000 males. It is spread over an area of 190 km².

Kakinada is part of a Special Economic Zone and a proposed "Petroleum, Chemical and Petrochemical Investment Region (PCPIR)". It is a hub to all the deep sea exploratory activity in the region due to its deep-water sea port and its proximity to the gas fields.
